The distinctive shape of the Log Flume station takes shape as the concrete foundation is poured
The columns which will support the station roof go vertical
With scaffolding in place, preparation begins for placement of the roof beams.   In the foreground, the beginnings of the mill tower begin to take shape
The support columns and roof framing are in place with Best of the West looking nearly complete in the background
Construction equipment places the support columns out along the wooded peninsula, being careful to remove as few trees as possible
The columns in place waiting assembly of the track out along the penninsula
track parts waiting to be assembled.   Interesting to note that the spine of the Arrow Dynamics flume track appears to be nearly identical to that of Arrow's mine train coaster track
An assembled section of track awaits the placement of the fiberglass trough
While the station takes shape in the background, the concrete lining of the flume reservoir cures, as piles of stone begin to arrive to create the rustic stone facing around the edges and columns
The final drop is in place along with the dual lift motors and under-run for watering off.   Water is diverted under the drop to the lowest point on the ride, the reservoir.   Just beyond, the skeleton of the Teepee is in place and awaiting its outer skin
The drop comes down into the splash pool, where stones await placement along the concrete walls.   Workers will cut and hand place the stone into neat stack-stone walls
Nearing opening day, the colorful shingles are nearly finished on the tower, and the hub for the waterwheel is in place.   The remaining columns are in place for the final sections of track out of the station and onto the lift, and workers continue to hand-fit the decorative stonework into place.
The completed section of flume track out on the peninsula is visible from the Woodland Gardens area of the park as everything comes together for the July 1st opening
